Fourth graders at Ben Franklin Elementary competed in the annual "Pumpkin Chunkin’" contest, launching candy corn pumpkins with homemade, desk-sized launchers built from recycled materials. Colin won with a 161-foot launch, followed by Austin, Luca, and Coen, and each winner received a prize from the school's PTO.

This is a friendly reminder that the Bethel Park School District will have a scheduled 2-hour delay on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, while teachers participate in professional development. There are no plans to transition to a Remote Learning Day.

Nominations for the Bethel Park High School Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame are due by Dec. 17, 2025, recognizing graduates whose achievements and service have made a significant impact in their fields or communities. Submissions may be mailed to the BPHS Distinguished Alumni Search Committee or emailed to Principal Racquel Sutton.

Bethel Park High School’s fall play, "CLUE," based on the cult classic film and beloved board game, will be held Nov. 5-8 at 7 p.m. The show, which costs $5 to attend, promises a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud mystery full of twists and surprises.

Following Superintendent Dr. James Walsh’s announcement that he will retire at the end of the 2025–2026 school year, the Bethel Park Board of School Directors has launched a search for his successor, led by solicitor Rebecca Heaton Hall of Weiss Burkardt Kramer LLC.
